“Life gets in the way of life, with its deadlines, ambitions, goals - the hustle and bustle of it all, & the slow-paced, purposeful reconnecting with friends and family (as I said during our first night that weekend) is something my family needs to do at least once a year.

Memories have the power to make you happy and wistful at the same time. Since that weekend reunion, I have seen more of my childhood friends. My family and I have also reconnected with those who weren’t at the party but live all over of the world. Also, unfortunately, just this year, we have lost a friend - he attended with his wife on the first day. I showed her the film, especially with our group scenes and she loved being able to see him in motion. I think it proves that no matter how bittersweet memories can be, they are our reminder of that beautiful time in one’s life.
